The Omega is a dihedral blade shape that reduces twist and flutter for a forgiving and comfortable paddle, especially on longer excursions. The outer edges of the power face curve away from the centre, directing flow across the blade. The slight curve along the length of the blade maximizes power during the catch phase of each stroke. This shape is available in all of our original blade sizes, providing a variety of options to suit all paddlers.

With its origins in whitewater paddling, our Celtic Kinetik Touring is a performance paddle suited for ocean touring and bumpy water play. Its aggressive spoon allows for use of a smaller size blade. Paddling with a more vertical shaft allows for a shorter length paddle and a less tired paddler; our recommended paddle length for 90% of paddlers is 200-212cm. We often paddle wing-like, with one leading edge for power and efficiency: the leading edge «bites» and holds the water better. The extremely thin profile slices easily through the water. This maximizes the catch of each stroke, translating into more pulling power per stroke.This blade shape has proved it’s worth on countless adventures. It is spooned across the width of the power face allowing for greater power transfer, with pressure directed to the centre of the power face during the paddle stroke. This blade shape is designed to maximise catch and deliver power from start to finish in every stroke.

POLYMER: Polymerblatt, leichtes Blatt zum Freizeitpaddeln auf Seen und Flüsse. Diese sind auch flexibler als Nylon und Kohlenstoff. Polymerblätter sind mit lange Glasfasern durchsetzt. Die Blätter sind daher dauerhaft, und hart, damit ideal für Einsteigerpaddler.

Celtic Omega Blade Shape
The Celtic Omega Blade Shape features a dihedral profile and is our latest design. Compared to our classic Kinetic blade shape, the Omega’s dihedral profile means it is less likely to twist and flutter during paddle strokes. The outer edges of the power face curve away from the centre, directing flow across the face of the blade. This makes for a forgiving and comfortable paddler experience, especially during longer excursions or when performing blended strokes. We have retained the slight curve along the length of the blade and the blades asymmetric profile which maximizes power during the catch phase of each stroke. This shape is available in all of our original blade sizes, providing a variety of options to suit all paddlers.
Celtic Kinetic Range
Our classic touring blade shape has proved its worth on countless adventures by comparison it is spooned across the width of the power face, allowing for greater power transfer with pressure directed to the centre of the power face during the paddle stroke. This shape will deliver more power stroke for stroke but requires a more consistent and precise stroke, especially when performing blended strokes.
